Set: Live set in Dringeblieben.de by CJ Cem
Listen on: DrinGeblieben.de /
Genre: Hip-Hop, dancehall
Length: 1h47
Pair with: Need of Hip-Hop to think on other can CoronaVirus
Dringeblieben.de is a spontaneus website made by someone (massive kudos!) from the Cologne, Germany culture scene. They put the website together in 1 day or something. The goal of it is to have a means to keep enjoying of culture and support the local artists as you keep yourself and others safe. Today they had: Yoga, DJ set for children, Live concerts, etc. Tomorrow will be something else :).
This set is from DJ Cem also known as beatpackers. He is an amazing art supporter in the musical scene in Colgone. He played a very much mood lifting set of 1h47, varying from hip-hop, dancehall and more. One thing I must say: he is not only an active advocate for danceable music, he is also able to make anyone get up and dance.

Playlist: Women of the rock by Luigi Martinez
Listen on: Spotify
Genre: Rock & subgenres
Length: 4h11
Pair with: Chill and sing
Luigi is one of our curators, he is a music lover, and I dare to say, a feminist. He complied this wonderful playlist of women making wonderful rock and subgenres of rock music. You will find there music of people like Alanis, Fea, Rita Lee, Mrs. Laurin Hill, and more. Definitely a gem!
Playlist: 70’s funk soul underground by Carl Adesile
Listen on: Spotify
Genre: Funk & Soul
Length: 23h50
Pair with: Lock down and working
Funk & Soul music are born from a mix of cultures, African and American (US, we all know that America is really a continent). These were thought of as easy electronic music to dance to. In contrast with other african-* music born in America (the continent), the best part of Soul and Funk is that anyone can dance it without feeling ridiculous, and if you are locked down at home working, you can just play it, and work without feeling that much distracted, and will lift your mood.
Playlist: Cuerdas by Nani
Listen on: Spotify
Genre: Jazz & sub genres
Length: 5h04
Pair with: Chill, wine, sun, work.
I have been in love with Jazz since I was 20 (I am 33 now). This playlist is called cuerdas, which translates to “strings”. I have compiled this playlist for many years. A word of warning: It’s by no means cleaned up, the order might not make sense and maybe there are songs there which don’t belong there. So, it will be imperfect. But Jazz was born from the need of getting out of classic norms and rules, be free and experiment. So Invite you to listen to this, without expectations and enjoy the sound of string instruments in Jazz

Collection: Long Ambients 1 & 2 by Moby
Listen on: Moby’s site / Spotify /
Length: 9h30
Genre: Ambient
Pair with: Sleep, yoga, meditation, need to slow down
Moby is one of the artist that ha been over the years since I felt in love with music. He is not only an amazing artist, but he is also a great human, caring and giving back to the world, not only with music, but also with words or donations, such as the one he did in 2018: he sold all his vinyl collection in benefit to a charity.
Through ElectronicBeats, we got to this Long Ambients collection from Moby, he has shared that on his website and is free to download. He describes it this way:
“One of the things that excites me about this second record is if you combine it with the first ‘Long Ambient’ album, it’s more than seven hours of very quiet music. My hope is that it could actually see someone through an entire night of sleep. My suggestion is to not approach this as music, but to approach it as a sleep aid or tool.” –moby
Thank you Luigi for sharing this!
